How to write uppercase cursive A
Start point
- The first step is to place your pen at the cap line (i.e. upper line), just a little right of the letter’s center.
Stroke 1
- Now, move your pen left and down in a smooth curve as shown in the above image.Make a rounded bottom and continue towards the right.
- Now rise up toward the cap line on the right side and join the starting point.
Stroke 2
- Now, stroke 2nd start from the start point & draw a straight, slanted downstroke toward the baseline.
- End the stroke with a short upward flick to the right.

How to write Lowercase cursive a
Start point
- Because this is a lowercase letter, begin at the midline, slightly right of where the letter will sit.
Stroke 1
- Move left and down in a smooth curve similar as we do in Uppercase A.
- Sweep from the baseline and come back up to the midline i.e. the starting point on the right side, closing the oval.
Stroke 2
- Now, draw a short upward curve toward the midline by touching the lower line.
